Beautiful Septaria from Morocco. Quality cabochon.
Septaria have an interesting origin. It is actually an inanimate fossil. The prehistoric mud dried, petrified, cracked, and over time, the cracks were filled with other minerals, including small golden pyrite cubes, and then those formations were covered with other layers.
After cutting the septarium, bizarre drawings appear and the formations resemble various bugs and flowers in children's drawings. In their black-brown-and-white simplicity, septaria are a beautiful jewelry material, because they look ethnic and yet elegant.
Septaria is a stone with the soul of the Black Continent, primitive yet noble in its nature, and helps its wearer to know his true nature, often instinctively restrained by learned and so-called desirable patterns of behavior. It teaches us that as long as a person lives, he can still surprise himself a lot!
