Tumbling (tumbling, tambling) of raw stones to order

Tumbling (tumbling, tumbling) is the processing of raw stones, semi-precious stones, gemstones and rocks into the form of shiny or matt boulders (so-called trombles). We process minerals from 3 to 9 hardness (from calcite to corundum). The average processing time is 4 months. Some stones, such as fossilized wood, quartzite, flint, etc., are so tenacious that they tambour even 1/2 year. We must determine the tambling time individually according to the type of stone.

Tumbling stones into the shine is not a simple process, before we send stones we need to know what kind of stones it is, if we can polish that type. Furthermore, it is necessary to check if the stones are not cracked or have no tubes, such can not be polished. At tumbling, the rule used in America is "vile there, vile out". Tumbling is worth only a very high quality raw material. Most of the tumbling does not help the stones of the field. We also do not tear the stones from the sea from the beach, because every pebble from the beach is a different kind of polish with similar stones. So stones from the beach would have to be polished four times.

It is ideal to send quality chopped raw material up to 50 mm in size, without cavities, cracks and other defects in quantities of 10 kg or more. If you send only 1 kg of stones, they will wait for similar stones to accumulate, either from us or other customers that have similar properties (but look different than yours - to distinguish) to be at least 10 kg, so tumbling time is therefore 4-12 months.

The current price for tambling the same kind of stones is as follows:

• up to 1 kg of raw stones is 15, - EUR / kg of input material,
• up to 20 kg of raw stones is 12, - EUR / kg of input material,
• up to 40 kg of raw stones is 10, - EUR / kg of input material.

If the entry stones are a mixture of different stones of different hardnesses, which must be constantly taken over and processed separately, the price is determined by agreement upon inspection of the raw material.

It must be assumed that about 50% of the raw material is abraded and completely lost when perfectly rounded. From 1 kg of raw material you get 0.5 kg of polished pebbles. That is why it is necessary to calculate in advance when buying a raw material that the price of the finished stones will be twice the purchase price plus the price for tumbling. Higher yields can only be achieved with less stone rounding.

We process the stones in rotary and vibrating machines(tamblers, trombles, tumblers). We process any quantity from 100 grams to 100 kgs. For smaller quantities below 10 kg, a larger order is waiting for your stones to happen.
